Flexico V5 Plate Mounting Machine
Do you recall the traditional method of plate mounting when the operator had to hold the plate in his hands throughout the mounting process?
Technology has moved forward with the introduction of Tectonics’ revolutionary Flexico V5 range of “hands free” plate mounting machines which take the guesswork and frustration out of plate mounting. A unique feature of the V5 is a rise-and-fall plate bed onto which the plate is put before being pulled forward until the register marks are lined-up under the cameras. A foot switch then releases a bar which holds the plate gently in position. The operator’s hands are free at all times and the plate is securely held in place which allows the operator to use the two adjusting wheels to “swivel” the plate bed for perfect registration. A brake holds the cylinder firmly until the operator is ready to stick the plate to the cylinder so the plate cannot stick to the glue prematurely. The operator has complete control.
